New Member
Hello I am new here on Audio Karma, despite the screen name "dougroundup" (which is my middle name and the street where I am located) My actual name is Brian. I suppose I just compromised alot of personal information! OK well, I am also a amateur radio operator and I have a part time job servicing vintage tube guitar amplifiers for some of my guitarist friends. My "real" job however is the construction trades.
I have found theAudio Karma website coming up more and more often on the various things I Google. So I thought that maybe I should try this place out and see if maybe I can make a few friends, have something to contribute and perhaps learn a thing or two.
Thank you for this site!

Hi everyone! Well thank you for the welcome. People actually do read the introductory posts on forum sites.
You guys are true gentlemen and ambassadors (and any ladies reading this too). Nice to meet you and thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.

Hey Brian, welcome to AK. Glad to have you on board. I'm sure you'll enjoy exchanging viewpoints and learning things on AK. I seem to learn something everytime I contribute to a thread.
Regarding guitar amps, I ended up buying a Line 6 amplifier. They swear that a trained ear can't tell the difference between a Line 6 modelled tube amp reproduction, and the original tube amp sound.
Just so ya know ... I don't believe that; what with tube rolling, and all. But my Line 6 Flextone III, does sound pretty damn good, all the same.
