RM or SB

RIP 1961-2018
Does anyone know what these codes mean on a GEC KT77 (real ones). I have some with RM and some with SB printed on the glass and wondered what it meant. Thanks in advance. I'm thinking it may be the same on 66s or 88s.

Check the sales. Folks pay for all sorts of things like Blackburn Mullards, getter shapes and sizes and plate color. Why not date codes???

By virtue of the fact that they are different, one HAS to be better, right???

Ha, absolutely, and it's likely the ones I have the least of are worth the most. All the ones I have look the same, with double getters one on top of the other, and small red bases. They are all a little crooked too, bottle to base, but the tone will make you forget that.
