Ernie's Pig Hip Restaurant on Route 66 in Broadwell, IL. Turned into a museum after his death, and unfortunately burned down later. There is only a commemorative plaque now.

The Flintstone House is a house in Hillsborough, California overlooking, and best seen from, Interstate 280. It was designed by architect William Nicholson and built in 1976 as an experiment in new building materials, in the form of a series of domes. It was constructed by spraying gunite onto steel rebar and wire mesh frames over inflated balloons. During its early existence it was off-white in color, but was repainted a deep orange in the mid 2000s.
1976 was just the start of this one, I remember it being built back then.
It got a few more color changes over the years but was always originally a white paint. In fact when it was new we called it the igloo, because that's what it looked like.

For a bit of perspective on my post above and the area. If you look at a map, or google if from satellite it's on the San Francisco Peninsula in Hillsborough by hwy 92 and hwy 280, twenty miles from SF.
The Peninsula is basically a coastal mountain range and you have the ocean side and the bay side. The flat land closer to the bay is where all the cities are, and in some areas as you start getting in the hills over looking all this, the the real estate get very pricy. It always has been as most the cities down the Peninsula where started from the rich in San Francisco. The Mills mansion is just one of them, fairy close to that is the Filoli estate. They built 19th century summer homes out of the city on many 1,000s of acres. For one thing this is an area that has natural springs, creaks and a lake.

In this shot you can see hwy 280, the bridge spanning over San Mateo Creak, and Crystal Springs Reservoir. The mansion needed to be built by workers, and then maintained after, so they needed to live near by and that's how the cities started to forum. Some of the grate mansion on the Peninsula are still there, some are not, the Filoli estate you can tour the botanical gardens, and home.

When Interstate 280 was built in stages from Daly City to San Jose in the 1960s, it was named the Junipero Serra Freeway. A statue of Serra on a hill on the northbound side of the freeway in Hillsborough, California, points a finger towards the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Pacific.
