Robot and Humans dancing together

That one fascinates me, if they could add movement to the hands she could be a "companion" to elderly people living alone, no more help I've fallen and can't get up. She apparently has both voice recognition and emulation, could probably be programmed for any language. Probably raise a few eyebrows if you had her pushing the basket around the Giant.:D

I was just having a conversation with my wife this morning.. you think that thing does laundry????

It's amazing how far robotics have come in the last 10 years... especially the last 5..

They claim that her measurements were based on a typical Japanese teenager, she stands 5 foot and weighs 98 pounds. I will debate the typical teenager part as her arms are overlong. Most girls, when standing, will have their fingertips level with the bottom of their gluteous maximus. Hers reach much lower.

As long as she has elbow length rubber gloves else you might see a few sparks.:D

Just watching welding robots, or other factory robots can freak you out as to how they start to look human like in their movements..

That robot's hot. Those humanoids in the yellow outfits behind her, not so much. Can she fetch beer?

Well this just reinforces the old saying "that fact is stranger than fiction". The Japanese have some pretty weird stuff in their country. I'll have to admit to be completely mesmerized by some of the hi-end audio components produced there

You prefer the amorphous blob robots that have been popular in Japan? Those things creeped me out.

Yup... I like these guys.

Well, if they start looking like her/it, then I won't mind as much. But still kinda creepy.

An interesting experiment

Put "her" on a bar stool, an hour before closing time, and see how many drunks try to "hit" on her?

Steve :sigh: :D

This is what I am banking on as we have no kids and I know the pets aren't going to be changing our diapers.

between this and the robots the military are working on,i am now short that one day we will have to fight these things!
