Just thought I would make my first post here regarding my CL find. I have been playing drums onand off since I was 10, a scant 40 years ago. The fisrt "real" kit I cobbled together consisted of a beat up Leedy kick, more holes that a hunk of swiss cheese, a marching tom for a ride, Rogers dyna-sonic snare with a crack here and there, and a Rogers floor Butcher block which was actually pretty new. As I recall, I traded a couple of microphones and cymbal stands for it.:scratch2: Anyway, fast forwrd, those drums are long gone but I have always wanted a Rogers Butcher Block kit from that era. Yesterday on the local CL, couldn't believe it when I saw "Rogers Drums" for sale with vintage Zildjian 20" ride and 14" new beat hats! Turns out I knew the seller who is moving cross country and painfully had to sell them. Now to replace the 35 YO original Rogers label drum heads and they will be good to go. Can't wait until our next practice and show the boys my new toys!:thmbsp: Pics are in the attached thread. I'm sure if there are any old drummers out there, they will appreciate this find.
