Hello AK,
I don’t have a ton of space for larger speakers so I’ve been looking into bookshelf speakers and have I’ve become very interested the LS3/5a speakers. The two versions that caught my interest were the original Rogers version and the newer Falcons. With my limited searching skills, I’ve looked around on forums but wasn’t able to find a direct comparison between the 15ohm Rogers vs the Falcon from owners and users.
For those who have heard both, does anything stand out between the two? Or would anyone have an opinion on the two as a comparison?
I also read that the Falcon’s earlier production models are better than the newer versions. Is there anyway to understand what year the Falcon LS/3/5a were made based on the Serial number?
My setup for these speakers would be a McIntosh mc225 and a mcintosh c27 preamp. Has anyone paired the LS3/5a with a MC225 or similar and if so, how was it?
