Rogers LS3/5a

Shoot me if there is a LS3/5a thread I should have bumped instead of starting a new one.

I recently picked up a pair of these things and I have to say they totally live up to the hype. I'm addicted. Especially on classical and vocal music. God has these speakers in his bedroom, that's how great they are.

There's plenty of threads here at AK on LS3/5a's but its always nice to see another discover how nice they are.

Can you provide details how you picked them up and what they look like?

This will sound totally cliche, but it's the honest truth.

The guy I bought these from inherited a garage full of things from an elderly woman who passed away and these Rogers were included. He said he almost threw them out before his wife suggested it might be kind of a good idea to check what they are worth first. Umm, duh.

Anyway, Swisstone matched pair, cabinets are somewhat banged up, but I don't think they have ever even been opened up and just sound beautiful.

Yes they are and they don't really do anything except sound totally neutral. It's weird. They don't even sound like speakers. Hard to explain - you just have to live with a pair of these.
