Rogers LS7t

Just picked up a pair of LS7t from the original owner, boxes, all the packing, owners manual and the original Rogers stands, paid $240, so not a screaming deal but I am happy. Just a couple of tiny nicks in the veneer real tough to see unless you look very closely, otherwise perfect. It will take a while for me to get used to them after the Klipsch CF-2's I was running on my main system. But so far I am liking them, very detailed with a great image. Maybe it's because they have not been used for a few years, but for the first 20 mins they sounded just OK, and then all of a sudden it was like a switch was thrown and wow they just came alive.

Back in the late 80s when those were current I looked at those, wanted them badly but couldn't afford them. They were fabulous with acoustic music and female voices. I want to say they were around $700 new then, what is that now, $1500 or so? The Rogers stands were another $200-$300 then. I would pay $240 all day for those......smokin deal!

Those are nice, and you got a great deal. I am a sucker for British made speakers.

Think we would have all done the same thing :D

Happy New Year

I have been listening to these a lot over the holiday weekends, and I am loving them, very detailed and they image like crazy. They image at all volume levels which I find very cool, most speaks I have had come alive at a certain volume, these just work at all levels. Also the image is very consistent from song to song, artist to artist.

The old stand by 8 in. 2 way British monitors. I drove almost an hour to look at some 8 in. Regas but was disappointed. They were poorly stored and endured damage. The guy said they were put away in the basement for years. My guess is they sat on a damp concrete slab or something. Parts of the bases were starting to separate from the side walls. Too bad.

Just had a neighbor give me a pair of these today with stands and bi-wire cables. Mine are black and have some cabinet issues but the sound is superb.
