Rotel RA-1412 Right Output Low

Hello All,

I am working on a Rotel RA1412, when it came to me the right Watts meter was out, after replacing it I noticed the Left & Right meters were not matched.

Consulting the service manual I input a 100 Hz Sine Wave on the Aux input, crank volume until I get 9V across an 8 ohm load, and adjust the pots until i am at 10 Watts.

When doing this I get 9V on the left, but 5.75V on the right.

I Checked voltages on each output transistor and they are only slightly out of spec.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Go through the unit with an oscilloscope and a signal generator and find out where the gain is being lost.

Try cleaning the "Unite-Separate" switch. I had one with right channel issues and it was as simple as a dirty switch.
