Rough, very early KLH speakers: $15 Houston CL

those look to be well worth the price. I like the KLH model five speakers. I see two pair on ebay. I thought model 4's were a 2 way speaker. this pair looks like a 3 way speaker.

Its been redone somewhat, I think. I had a pair and the grill was lighter colored and impossible to see through, and unremoveable as far as I could tell -- it was glued around the front baffle before the baffle was set into the sides. I came across one at the Truro MA dump once that had been smashed -- interesting construction -- braced and built like a brick house of convenience.
Mine were shellaced rather than oiled, as were many speakers back then.
I have to say I never really liked how they sounded. Quite possibly needed recapping, but would have been major surgery to do it.
