I never understood how punk is a "reaction" to prog. I always felt that punk rock had a place with or wihout progressive rock. I guess on a commercial scale it could positioned that way... sells better for its fashion appeal and such, but as a cultural phenomen it is quite independentI saw Yes twice back in the 70's. Once with the revolving stage, once again with Wakeman back in the group.
Always a wonderful show.
Also always the worst crowd...it always felt like we were there to hear the band , while everybody else was there to yell, and get high, and yell some more.
I was a big fan of Prog for a while...Gentle Giant, Yes, Genesis, Focus, Floyd, Tull.
I was also a fan of the punk movement that followed as a reaction to it.
