RSD 4/2018 Is Out

The Tom Waits is one I am excited about but they will likely be widely released after RSD anyway. Surprised so little Jazz this time. Never hard to find a handful to grab. Last time around that BOC Vol 1 was one of the hotter sellers. I believe the ABB Atlanta stuff was already out on the ABB own label? And the Rhino G Dead catalogue is so deep yet much of it not very compelling. Not when so many awesome live boots exist from that time period. Plus a lot of Rhino vinyl is RINO vinyl these days.
 
Until this year, I never have participated in RSD as I never found any records that peaked my interest. The Allman Brothers box set is what I am considering.
 
Nothing particularly caught my eye this year, I usually avoid new reissues anyway.
 
On XM Real Jazz station they have been previewing the Grant Green LPs. Wow! some heavy cooking stuff. They now sit atop my want list. The Waits form what I have been able to garner will be released after RSD and are now on CD already. I wonder if digital master for vinyl RSD making it a RINO?

This ain't no thrift store Johnny Mathis.

It's an album recorded in 1982 that sat in "the vault" for 35 years, written and produced by Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards of Chic. It was included in a big CD box set last year, and this its first release all on its own.

This is disco Johnny Mathis, and probably better than disco Ethel Merman due to Rogers & Edwards.
