RSII crossover confusion

I have been restoring my RSII's and they are coming together. The woofers are refoamed and I went to tackle the crossovers when I realized that what is on the Infinity tech manual is not what is in the speakers. There are changes especially the additional 600uf cap across the bottom woofer ( what is the effect?). I went ahead and redid one crossover as per the factory page, that speaker is louder at the same volume levels and the mids are great but the tweeters are lacking not as brilliant. I also changed the controls ( they are the same as in my RSIIIb speakers). I have attached both crossover schematics. I would like to get some opinions on this especially from any other RSII owners.
thanks
Augie

You are correct. The shunt 600uf cap is not printed on the schematic from Infinity Classics. This helps determine the rate of rolloff of the bottom woofer, which does not play frequencies as high into the midbass as the upper woofer does.

It almost sounds like you have pots with a different taper. These things are hard to tell from over the forum, so I'm probably off-base in thinking that. Is this what you are needing an opinion on?

I was wondering if I should leave it out since it was not on the original, but now that you explained it I see that it should remain there.
thanks
