RTR ESR-15 and 280-DR speaker stack

Hi all,

I managed to pickup a pretty amazing condition pair of these last week from the original owner. He appears to have taken meticulous care of them and included the original manuals and the cleaning equipment for the electrostatics.

What do you think the value of the matched set in very good condition is? The prices for each components by themselves is kind of all over the place and I can't seem to find any listings from the last year.

I need to snap some pictures, but I'm away from my house for a few days. They look exactly like the main speakers in this image (taken from an AudioAssylum thread):

Got pictures of the ones I have up. Also, these things are just magic. I've since removed the spikes on the one on the right and positioned them in the corners. It's an overwhelming wall of sound.

The value ranges that you find on other sites is a pretty good approximation of current pricing. The speakers were one of RTRs better offerings, but not their best (check out the RTR DR1s). They have a following, but condition and proximity are more critical factors than recent sale prices. Where you live and your local market are a big deal on what you can get, since local pickup is much more preferable, as is often the case with larger speakers.

The e-stats are a bit easier to ship. While packing is important, their pricing is primarily dependent on assurances that all elements are completely functional. If so, their value is much less contingent on local interest.

It would be rare to find more value in the speakers offered together compared to each set offered individually.
