Hey guys, I recently bought some RTR EXP-12 speakers. They’ve been sounding great so far. When I try to push em a little louder, the L pad on the back starts resonating on certain bass notes (which happens on a number of techno LP’s I play). It’s not a huge problem, as they’re loud enough even when it’s not happening. However, when I do want to push them, it gets a little jarring hearing that buzz. Is there anything I can do about it short of removing the L pad? Thanks.

Just an old fart trying to help.
Two ideas:
Can you tighten down the l-pad, using a nut or whatever is securing the controls in place?
OR
Could you place some sort of "soft" spacer between the control and the crossover plate the control is mounted to?
I'm thinking something along the lines of museum putty or mortite. Or maybe a piece of velcro that has adhesive on one side.
If the rear of the cabinet does not come off you might be able to remove the woofer(s) to get at it.

There’s a nut I can tighten down, personally I was thinking something along the lines of putty or mortite. Regardless, thank you for the suggestions! I’ll be sure to take the info into account when I try to tackle this problem.
