RTR Series IV C

Hello

I found this site while surfing for some info on a recent thrift store purchase.
I bought a pair of RTR Series IV Model C speakers that appear to be in very good condition and sound very good IMO. However I have been only able to find bits and pieces about RTR and almost nothing about these speakers. Any info would be appreciated!

ahhh the bluebook wolverine, you either have to pay about $4bux for one lookup at their site, or, buy a used hardcover off ebay... its' called The Orion Audio Bluebook(I have a 1987, and a 1997 version). BTW, welcome to AK! :thmbsp:

The $496 a pair is what they sold for in 82-83 or what they are currently worth?

I am keeping them no matter what but it is kind of interesting to know what my $14 bought me.

the msrp is the original selling price, the bluebook lists the current value as $59/pr. It's always low as this is the price a pawnshop would buy from you and then markup.

I think I found quite a bargain in these based on their sound.
I am guessing that based on prices tpday that $496 for a pair in 82-83 puts them as mid-level gear but I was not into audio back then so I don't have a reference point.
