Running A&B Speakers - Damaging?

I have a Marantz 2275 with a pair of Paradigm 5se's on the A side and a pair of JBL L1's on the B side. I find running both A&B produces a nice full sound in my listening room at say a 50-60% volume setting. I'm wondering if running both A&B speakers for expended periods is likely to cause any stress on any of the 2275's components at these volume levels?

I'm asking this question as I also have a Sansui G-7500 which will kick in the speaker relay when running A&B speakers at 50% volume. If I run only the A or B speakers at higher volumes no problem.

Most amps/receivers are rated for 2 pairs of 8ohm speakers. If either pair is 4ohms, you cannot run them at the same time (should be printed next to the speaker outputs on your receivers).

However, running 2 pairs of speakers requires much more current from your amplifiers. When new, this was okay. At this point I would say that I would discourage it unless you have had the amplifiers checked/adjusted/serviced which might include a restoration, and certainly would include a thorough cleaning of boards and heat-sinks, and replacement of heat-sink compound.

On the Sansui, you might be clipping at "50% volume", possibly on the Marantz also.
