Running a Marantz 2230 with Marantz 140

i am currently running my marantz model 140 power amp into the unswitched outlet on the back of the marantz 2230 and have been doing so for a few years now. the 140 doesn't have a power switch so i figured this would be an okay way to do things. i just recently realized that the unswitched outlet on the 2230 maxes out at 200 watts and the output on the power section for the model 140 is 300 watts. am i running a risk of blowing anything up in running my setup? if so, what would be the best way to run everything?

Unlikely risk unless you are running everything at full bore.

However I would use a good quality power strip instead.

I use a wifi power strip and also Bluetooth outlets. Several of my tube amplifiers either have the power switch on the back of the amp, or on the power cord itself.
With the wifi power strip I turn them on and off with an app on my smartphone.
The Bluetooth outlets are cheap and the remote controls work well also.

They are kind of cool. You can set them up to power up all or just one outlet at a time. Pluss the app lets.you label them so you don't have to rem2mber what's plugged into what socket. The Bluetooth remote controlled outlets work very well also.
