Russound Ap 48 amplifier and Russound AP-4z

I came across two ap-4z's and an ap 48 which i can't find much info on..if anyone knows about these or wants to buy them let me know...apparently they were pretty costly new. They are vintage at this point, still in great condition, they came out of a billionaires home in Rhode Island. Thanks

Not sure about those pieces specifically, but Russound made multizone (e.g. whole-house) systems that were controlled via keypads. They have some proprietary connections that don't lend them very useful to integrating them into two channel systems. Your Billionaire friend likely got ripped off as they were never really high end like Crestron, AMX, and the like were/are.
 
I contacted Russound and found that when they came out, they sold for a pretty good amount. Do you know if these would still be something people are after? Is it considered cool vintage gear or outdated? I know they're hard to find.
