RX-750 vs my RX-596? Any experience?

There's a 750 I could get, but I'm not sure if I would gain anything from it.

My 596 needs some DeOxit (ordered), and the selector knob has the wonky glitch that plagues this model, but it's a great sounding receiver.

If the 750 would bring me something more, like driving my speakers more effectively, I'd consider getting it today. But I can't find a lot on this particular model.

If you have any experience, please let me know!

Thanks, group!

Follow-up question:

On the cheap end, should I just plan on trying to find an RX-797 and not fool with the RX-750?

Damping factor is 240 with the 596 /140 with the 750 . I don't know important that is . I was actually looking at these two receivers not so long ago .

I'm impressed with the 596.

I'm playing with the CD Amp part, since I scored a great condition Yamaha CD player for $10 a few weeks ago. And I found out last night my remote for the 596 will control the CD. Woot!

But I always want more.

I had a Realistic receiver from around 1980, but it needs work. I grabbed an RX-396 and liked it so much I snatched up the 596 when I had the chance. I'm a Pure Direct convert now.
