SA-6300 repair, fuses blowing, both channels working

after looking at pics it appears the black and orange are swapped
and the factory didnt follow the codes for + and - on the red and orange .
 
So what is going to be missing now that the SMB241 is off the board?

I'll test with my throw-away speaker elements and then proper speakers tomorrow.
 
check dc volts at speaker outputs first .
when there is dc fault the triac shorts the power to protect the speakers in the hope it just blows the fuses . its not the best thing for the circuits . there are much better ways of building protect circuits .
 
Tested with a pair of speakers, it works.

Are there no replacement parts for the SMB241?

Is there any danger for the speakers themselves with that one missing right now?

I also noticed that the LED for on/off wasn't working, took off the front to check on it.

If I've read the schematics correctly, it says 8v 30mA?
By the looks of it any LED fits in there so I just need a white LED to match the voltage requirements?
 
I received the "2N6073BG" and soldered it onto the protection circuitry board and voilá, no fuses blown and it's still playing!

I'm going to let it play for a few hours to make sure nothing overheats. Such a beautiful piece https://i.imgur.com/R69CONe.jpg
