SA-8100 protection circuit issue

They look like they are Sanyo 2.2uF/25V from the markings, I've got some spare 2.2uF/50V Nichicons. Will that work?
 
OK, put those in for the Sanyos. Actually all four Sanyos tested very close to 2.2uF once out.

So, recapped the equalizer, control amp, and filter boards today. All that's left is switch units A and B (only a few small electrolytics on those, but you can't get to them without taking the faceplate off), and the two main filter caps. I purchased Nichicon caps for those as well, but they are much smaller than the original Elnas.

First, is there a way to test the Elnas with out disconnecting them to see if the capacitance is ok before replacing them?

Second, the Nichicons are much smaller than the Elnas. Any advice on how to secure these in the spot for them? The Elnas are clamped in place and the clamps are screwed to the base of the amp.
 
for those filter caps, people just get some rubber the right thickness and wrap that around the smaller caps until they clamp in tight.

heck, if it's close, I'd just use electrical tape.
 
Not really close, just over 3/8 inch difference. Old ones are 35 mm diameter, and the Nichicons are 25 mm diameter. Thanks for the advice, though!
