SA-8100

Hi all...so I am having some trouble finding a replacement volume pot for a SA-8100. I guess there wasnt much call for a double tapped pot in pioneers' other models. I see a ton of single tap pots out there, and was wondering if anyone has come up with a fix to get theirs working. I would like the right part for full functionality, but I can live with partial until the correct one surfaces. Any ideas?

No it won't work.
The switch you have is a combination switch which is a level and volume switch and pot?
A donor is the best, maybe only bet.
I never had one on the bench but the scat and images I saw indicate a special part.

Thanks for the response Zeb. Just FYI, there is nothing magical about this switch arrangement. It has the normal rotary contact switch with an empty hole in the rear. The volume pot fastens into this hole and a coupling connects the rotary to the pot.Thats why I thought it would work. I have the assembly all apart, but I will try to get a pic. I have been looking for the correct donor part for a LONG time and have been unsuccessful. I dont really need another whole unit, or I will be in the same boat for another volume pot!...

Ok..maybe a silly question, but, has anyone ever tapped into a standard pot?...I mean find a way to physically attach two lines to the graphite board. I really need to do something with this amp, so this is my last ditch effort to fix it before I offer it up for for parts.
