Hi,
Wondering if anyone knows whether the SA-9500 Phono 2 stage, when Impedance dial set to 50 ohms and Level all the way up (0db) is going to be the same basic settings as the Phono 1 stage? I have been driving myself crazy switching back and forth trying to discern a difference (what else is there to do during the stay-at-home order?). I'm guessing the Level control is an attenuator, and that when turned all the way up (0dB), it's going to be equivalent to Phono 1.
Wondering if I'll have any benefit with Phono 2 matching my cartridge, which has these specs:
Type: Moving magnet
- Output voltage @ 1kHz,5cm/sec: 5mV
- Frequency response: 20Hz-20kHz
- Recommended load resistance: 47 kOhm
- Recommended load capacitance: 150-200pF
Sorry if this is a dumb question! Thanks.
