Hi guys,
I'm going to restore a SA-9500II version S and I'm wondering if you could give me some hints about safety caps.
In this S version the C1 should be a X safety cap (in my opinion) but what about the 15, 16, 17, 18 and 32? (in the red circles) should those also be safety Y caps? I mean, that would be overkill but would cause no harm right?
I live in Germany (Residential Network 230V / 50Hz) and I'm planning to use this X1 440VAC / Y2 250VAC safety cap in all the positions named before.
So my question is:
I'm doing something notoriously wrong or it will be just overkill?
PS: The amp has a 2 Prong plug and I'm not looking to change that. I understand the benefits of 3 Prongs power cords, but it must be done right and there is a lot of things to consider. So please, don't go down that road
Thanks and have a nice day.
