SA-9500II safety cap?

Hi guys,

I'm going to restore a SA-9500II version S and I'm wondering if you could give me some hints about safety caps.
In this S version the C1 should be a X safety cap (in my opinion) but what about the 15, 16, 17, 18 and 32? (in the red circles) should those also be safety Y caps? I mean, that would be overkill but would cause no harm right?

I live in Germany (Residential Network 230V / 50Hz) and I'm planning to use this X1 440VAC / Y2 250VAC safety cap in all the positions named before.

So my question is:
I'm doing something notoriously wrong or it will be just overkill?

PS: The amp has a 2 Prong plug and I'm not looking to change that. I understand the benefits of 3 Prongs power cords, but it must be done right and there is a lot of things to consider. So please, don't go down that road :)

Why change those caps? They usually do not require changing.

thanks for your comment and I get your point. Ceramic caps almost never fail and therefore (as you literally said) "they usually do not require changing", but as I'm restoring it, it might worth to put extra 10 bucks in safety caps and replace the 45 year ceramics, in those "critical" spots.
That's why I'm asking: I'm doing something notoriously wrong or it will be just overkill?
If it's just an overkill, then I'll do it. It's my amp so I have all the time in the world and I have no problem putting another 10 bucks on it :p

In those spots the caps "short out noise" and they are isolated from the power line .
Their failure does NOT pose life safety risks nor do they offer ANY improved function.

thanks for your reply but I'm sorry, I don't understand. I clearly see that C1 is connected directly between the hot and neutral, just after the fuse. Putting a safety capacitor in that position does not add any benefit?

MTF was refering to the caps in the secondary ckts not C1 which is across the AC line. IMO leave C1 alone, for the others, if you insist to change, check lead spacing, try panasonic 10n/400V 7.5mm lead centers

Thank you very much for the recommendations. I recognize the validity of the saying “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” but in this case I do see a significant benefit to replacing C1 with a modern safety capacitor, so I will do so. Regarding the rest of the capacitors, I may leave them as they are, I have not decided yet. But I will take your recommendation into consideration in case I am going to replace them. I really appreciate it.
