sa-9800/8800 case, wooden or metal

i know a lot of people like the wooden case, but i am from the camp that just likes to see straight silver stacked. Plus all my other component are no wood. I am on the prowl for a 8800 or 9800. Question is, most are sold with wood. Can i buy a metal case and swap it out? Does it fit and are the screws lined up right.
