Sam Kinison Day

KingBubba

"Too Much Stuff"
My wife is away at a bingo marathon, so today is my day to listen to all of my Sam Kinison. My wife, like most women, hates even the mention of Sam's name. His comedy somehow strikes a chord in me, especially the broken heart jokes. I first saw him on Saturday Night Live and then he came to the theater where I worked. The theater still has the Shure 57 mike with the huge dent in the windscreen.

I remember at the time of his death hearing about the way in which he died, as though he were speaking to an angel or previously passed away loved one!

Quote:
( " Kinison appeared to have suffered no serious injuries, but within minutes he suddenly said to no one in particular, "I don’t want to die. I don’t want to die." LaBove later said, "it was as if he was having a conversation, talking to someone else, some unseen person." Then there was a pause as if Kinison was listening to the other person speak. Then he asked "But why?" and after another pause LaBove heard him clearly say: "Okay, okay, okay.’ LaBove said, "The last ‘okay’ was so soft and at peace ... Whatever voice was talking to him gave him the right answer and he just relaxed with it. He said it so sweet, like he was talking to someone he loved."[24] Kinison then lost consciousness. Efforts to resuscitate him failed. Kinison died at the scene from internal injuries. ".. )

I called a detox center - just to see how much it would cost: $13,000 for three weeks! My friends, if you can come up with thirteen grand, you don't have a problem yet.

I remember this being said about him-"In the land of the Living Dead, he was a VERY Live One...." Doncha bother me about the way I act, doncha try & understand...I just thank the Lord & my Lucky Stars, I lived to be a Funny Man...RIP, Sam. Still miss you a bunch...

one of my favorite quotes - "I'm not a violent person, but I do understand what turns Mister hand into Mister FIST!"
