Samsung TC, Zvox soundbar and bluetooth headphones

So here is my challenge.

I am slightly hard of hearing so I keep the volume up a bit. The ZVox helps but the wife still says too loud.

I had a thought to get bluetooth headphones where I can crank up the volume and leave my wife to hear regular volume TV.

The problem is the volume control affects both and because of a slight delay, I get echos i me headset.

Is there a solution I have not thought of?
