Samsung's tube docking station? Any thoughts?

I suppose all they are doing is using a few tubes as cathode followers or similar circuit as a tube buffer, to add tube flavor to the audio. Though if they try to clean up bad op-amp circuits doing that, we all know how well that works out... :thumbsdn:

"Only a hundred watts" :scratch2: That's more than enough in a real tube amp....

The small one only has 1000? while the big one has 1330? Those sound like skinny little SS watts to me, not big fat tube watts. How do they measure that stuff; 50k into a .1 ohm load for a nanosecond or what?:scratch2:

They need to make reall tube deck, with all digital circuits built with vacuum tubes. That would be an ultimate treat for bottleheads. Using miniature tubes they will likely be able to squeeze it into 4-5 racks. Dedicated cooling system will take extra space though.
