San Antonio TX "San Souci" speakers $295

[KiM3Ce]

No affiliation, sale has started. Sale ends 12 December; I don't think they will sell at $295.

That means without the Souci. I, personally prefer the Souci on the side.

San Souci means "without care" in French so they must be really reliable, French made speakers.
Although it is more likely they just butchered the brand name Sansui. Anyway, it is not a good price.

They are Sansui speakers, probably from the early to mid 70's "kabuki" era.

Kabuki speakers were known to have 5 - 9 drivers starting with a 12 or 15 inch woofer, a large cone midrange or two and several tweeters of various configurations.

Typically they can play very loudly with fairly low powered equipment but generally tend to seem harsh & boomy and don't tend to image very well.

Great party / garage speakers but not for serious listening, especially at that price.

Thanks, I see a lot of them.

Great beach speakers. They are perfect for the San dunes.
