Sanford 12...

Got in a 1947 Coronado AM radio from Sanford 12, AKA Mark. This is at least the 2nd or 3rd time I've got a radio off him, & EVERY ONE have been EXEMPLARY, everything he said they were & THEN some. His packing skills would defeat even the most Ham-handed FedEx or UPS, even USPS dope, & survive a trip to Timbuktu & back, easily. This LATEST radio is a bit better than even I imagined, as its a 6 tube set, & will no doubt pull in stuff like a champ during the fast-approaching winter DX season. He is incredibly fair, too, in his pricing, I think. Hard to go wrong w/Sanford 12, IMHO. I'll be a happy customer of his again, I hope !-Sandy

Thanks for the feedback, I've been sorely tempted myself by his listings here. I've thought about buying an old tube radio for my WWII vet father-in-law for him to listen to jazz on.

I said something about this VERY subject to Mark-That I have been kinda "Piggish" & scarfed up quite a few of his radios & NOT letting others have a chance. Its NOT like I only have one or 2 radios, BARELY anything to listen to... I can pretty much listen to almost ANYTHING I want, from DC to Daylight, & I SHOULD let others have a chance at this WONDROUS hobby.. In my "Ships' Radio Room". I have a collection of some of the finest devices ever devised by the mind of Man-And Fifties' bloated defense department budgets-for pulling signals out of the "Ether", whatever the Hell THAT is...(grin)
