Probably cost a bunch to get it restored. Not a whole lotta fun recapping that one. Full of those Suzuki oil-filled jobs.

They sound about as good as the Scott's and Fisher's of the era. Phono stage is wierd (solid state on perfboard).

Someone here in central North Carolina has had one on CL for I think 6 months or more with various ads run in that span. They have a bunch of expensive vintage stuff that does not seem to move. They are currently asking $1600 or best offer for a 1000a.

I had to hunt down their latest ad. They have had ads for it with pictures for the longest time. No longer doing each Sansui item with pictures now has this list of Sansui items and prices. Most have spent a long time on CL.

It is only 1500 if it sells for 1500.

Just look at ebay at some of the popular vintage models and the asking prices. Then go to advanced search and click on the sold listings and see what they tend to sell for. Often a substantial difference.

Seriously doubt it would qualify as a 40 wpc unit under 1974 FCC regulations.
