Sansui 2000 left channel issues (lots of work already done)

I've got a Sansui 2000 that I picked up cheap last year. I actually got a working unit with an identical parts unit, manual, and original papers for $100:rockon:. The working unit was 100% untouched. I cleaned all the pots and switches and it quickly became my daily listener. However, I began to notice that during longer sessions, the left channel would begin to distort the low end. The louder I would listen, the quicker the issue would happen. Overall, that channel seemed weaker and flat too. So i figured it was time for a recap and any other repairs. I'm actually very thankful for the information I found in this forum on common issues and transistor subs and such. So here is what I've done so far:

I did caps and transistors on 1 board at a time (ripple filter, diode stack, equalizer, control, chassis, driver amps in that order). Each board provided improvement, but the remaining issues would change (if that makes sense). I'm assuming because I went in somewhat of an order that would cascade any change into the next board and so on. After all the changes, the right channel output bias was very low at 16mA, the left channel was very high at 125mA!. So I adjusted Output Bias to 25mA on each channel.

So where I am at now; the right channel is beautiful! But the left channel now has slight distortion all the time, and through out all frequencies, and remains flat-ish, especially low end. It almost seems like all my work didn't really address the underlaying issue. So I'm thinking maybe the output transistors next? I know new equivalents aren't cheap and can be hard to find. I have no idea if my parts unit has good ones or not, but maybe I should start there? I'd love to hear any other thoughts on where to look first. Maybe I fried a transistor somewhere during my install? Maybe there is a film cap bad somewhere that I should look for? BTW, I don't have a scope if that make any difference in how I should go about diagnosing.

With a signal generator and an oscilloscope, you can troubleshoot and locate the problem. Bulk replacement of parts is a very inefficient way to correct a defect. Many times it introduces additional issues.
