Sansui 210 with heresy iv?

Hello all, I'm new to audio karma and have a question. I recently had an old sansui 210 receiver repaired and started using it as my amp for playing records, I think it sounds great but am a little concerned that it may damage my new heresy iv speakers which are rated for 100w continuous (The sansui is only 10 watts). I've read recently that under powering speakers can damage the tweeters... please let me know if I need to change my setup! Thanks

You're fine. This "too little power destroys speakers" thing is vastly overstated. And the Hereseys are very sensitive speakers anyway and will get VERY loud with just a couple watts. Lots of folks run highly sensitive speakers with amps that are low powered but have exceptionally good sound.

Just because the Heresys can take 100 watts continuous doesn't mean they need a lot of power. Back in the day one of the shops around here regularly paired Heresys with low wattage Sherwood receivers. Just turn it down if it starts to sound bad (audible distortion).

Glad to hear it, it sounds great and I was really hoping I wouldn't need to rethink things
