Sansui 4000 recap question

I am planning to do a recap of my Sansui 4000. I am planning to do a full recap of the driver board and change only 2SC458 transistors. for tone board all electrolytics and small-signal transistors and same for equalizer board.
I also want to recap the protector board F1176 and change the 2SC458 there. My question is if I recap this board do I need to do "Protector Adjustment" following the procedure in the service manual?

Whenever you change that many components around a unit you should always verify that the protection circuit works. The reason being, and especially if you change components directly involved in such circuitry how will you know if it works afterwards?
