Sansui 5000 question

I had the occasion to open up my Sansui 5000a for the first time after a few bulbs went out on me. I saw in another thread how to address replacing the bulbs and dial indicator/pointer lamp, but now that I am inside here, I'd like to adjust the position if the dial pointer indicator along the dial scale because it iss more than slightly off the correct location.

Any pointers (pun intended) on how to make this adjustment would be appreciated.

Thanks

Easiest way is to bend the tabs, pull the tensioner off some and physically move the pointer. Not the recommended way of course. I think there is a screw adjustment on the tuning cap assembly that will correct this to some extent. Might post this in the Sansui forum as there are several that are much more knowledgeable that me on this.

Try to adjust the oscillator first.

It will be on the FM tuning cap, if it exists. Probably labeled near the hole in the shield/cover OSC.

Turn it very slow and it will tune enough to align the pointer.
