Hi Guys, I'm really new to this Forum but it looks pretty cool what I have read! ok so here it go my issue:
I just bought a Sansui 5000A in very good condition and when I completed the whole set up into my speakers, I start to play some music with my turntable and from both speakers I can hear a lot of distortion and a fuzzy sound, you can hear the music but nothing satisfying to the ears, I played with the volume knob and nothing, the same in low volume or high.. so I tried connected the audio cables to the Aux Input and Woala! IT WORKS like a charm! clear and warm sounds how is supposed to be uff I love it!.
I don't know much about these kind of things, I checked the fuses they were fine however I changed them and still the same, I don't believe they were the issue as I was able to use it in the "Aux Input" without any issues, I tried the Tape Input and the same thing as Phono, distorted sound, I have my turntable and receiver connected trough an pp400 phono preamp ( Picture below)..
So I don't know exactly what's going on with it, another thing is that I cannot get anything from FM just AM but that's not really a big concern for me I don't listen too much radio but I will appreciate if you can help me with that too..
I have attached a video link where you guys can see and hear the problem that I'm dealing with, I hope you guys can help me!! thanks.
