I am new to the forum- but have been reading for awhile and have found lots of helpful info here- so thank you! I am currently running a JVC A-X3 Integrated Amp (which I don't love so much), with a JVC QL-Y5F turntable (which I love very much), and a couple of Sansui SP-70 speakers. I don't have the dough for a McIntosh amp right now- although I do lust for one!- but I am currently seeing a Sansui 5000A for $80 on Craigs List here in LA, and a Sansui 5050 for $60. Both are within my price range but wondering if one is markably more desirable over the other? Any advice? I listed to everything from vintage Jazz and Country, to Classical, to ACDC.. so there is no particular type of music i am trying to accommodate for- but probably more vintage jazz than anything else.
