Sansui 500a MP Condensor

I just bought a Sansui 500a. I've got the schematic & service manual. I'm confused as to the labeling of some capacitors. In the parts list and on schematic they are .3uf MP condensers.

The rest of the electrolytic caps are called that. The Suzuki oil tubular caps are called that. So what is a MP condenser? They all are coupling caps between plat or cathode of tube to grid of next tube. I will upload a pic of 1.

Lucky for me, there are only 11 oil caps and 33 electrolytic caps to replace. But I'm wondering what to replace the .3uf mp condensers with.

I figure they are non polar caps.019.JPG

These are bipolar oil caps used in signal path. Replace with polyester or polypropolene film caps (automatically bipolar (sometimes called non-polar). I like the Cornell Dubilier polypropolene where they will fit. Just make sure to use equal (or maybe a little higher) voltage rating.

PS. they do not have a good reputation and many folk get rid of them immediately. I do too, but I have to admit I've only seen them go bad when something else has caused them to. Keep an eye out for the rectangular brown smaller value caps that are probably in your 500A. They aren't talked about much but I have had troubles with them from amps of that era made by Sansui such as the AU-70, AU-111 and earlier.
