Sansui 517 tuner and tape inputs louder than aux for the same device.

See title. Is this normal ? And if not is it easy to solve? I would prefer keeping it as is as it was completely overhauled a few years ago. But since it's not mine I don't know if this has always been the case.

Not normal. DeOxit switch again.

Switches and potentiometers have been fully cleaned. Doubt that's the issue, It's way to consistent for that. It's almost like a built in muting feature or something. Do you have or have ever had a 517? Also just to be clear this is not the same amp as the 117 I was talking about earlier, I have still yet to take another look at that one. And if it's not the switches what else could it be ? I assume that the tuner, aux and tape inputs go via the same pre amplifier circuit no? Maybe some bad contacts? Though I would be surprised if that's it considering the consistency of it as mentioned earlier.

I'm referring to your thread title, what "same device" are you hooking up to the Tuner, Tape & Aux per your thread title?
