Sansui 6060 cabinet old vinyl gone

Hi, just wanted to share some pics of my Sansui 6060 cabinet/case that my partner and l just finished. She has to take all the credit for the super vinyl job, l just prepped the case and prepped and painted the grille black.

Any thoughts on choice of vinyl and colour change of grille from grey to black most welcome.

Very nice ! Looks better than original . I once had a 7070 that the vinyl peeled off and I just painted it satin black. Yours looks better .

Thanks for the kind words guys! Yes the decals came off pretty well, l think there would be a market for repro decals if someone decided to make them.

Thank you that is very kind, l don't have the talent either, my partner did the vinyl, she is very good at it, l would prob have trouble covering a book cover . You should give it a go, what's the worst that can happen, we covered it 3 times until we were finally happy.

I know this is an older thread, but I just came across it. And as I just bought a 6060 that needs new veneer, your post is inspiring! I’ll work on the 6060, then move on to the 7080 and 8080. Great job!
