Sansui 6060 Phono EQ board repair

I’m trying to recreate the EQ/Phono board work done on Ed’s Sansui repair. I wonder if you folks could vet my parts list, and answer a few questions. I'll come back and clean this up if the formatting is fudged when I post.

Here’s the list I made based off of Ed’s restoration page and a few AK posts:

Questions:

I’m not able to figure out what Caps are referenced in Ed’s post: “There was a pair of tantalum caps on this board which was also replaced with Panasonic FC electrolytic. “ did I already address this with the parts above?

Out of curiosity, what are the clear looking capacitors (C05 C06 C07 C08) called, and what is their function in the circuit? They are listed as “P.C.” in the parts list.

Is it ok to go from 50V to 63V for C607? That’s the closest value I could find.

And…Probably a whole discussion to itself. The Elna Silmic II are recommended, but I only see 100V on Mouser. Is it recommended to track the exact replacement down somewhere else, or is there a suitable replacement available there (just wanting to consolidate orders).

@tweedsmith: signal path capacitors are best replaced with stacked film types if <4.7uF or bi-polar electrolytic types if >4.7uF. The input capacitors C01, C02 can be replaced with 1uF/50V or 63V WIMA types; the stock capacitors are tantalum types in your picture of the 6060 phono stage. The C11, C12 capacitors are emitter by-passes and can be replaced with Low Leakage types (e.g., Nichicon KL) or Audio Grade types; the replacement should also be increased to 220uF to extend its function down to ~20Hz. Also, avoid using capacitors rated at very low voltages, e.g., 6.3VDC or 10VDC; the capacitors rated for higher voltages perform better and are longer lasting.

Great info! I'm going to review my parts order with these recommendations in mind.
 
Also, C05 C06 C07 C08 are the RIAA equalization network capacitors. While you're at it, for tighter RIAA accuracy you could replace with C0G/NP0 1% tolerance ceramics. You could also replace R15, R16, R17, R18 with 1% metal film. The new caps should be way smaller than those polystyrenes.

I appreciate that you take the time to explain current functions and reasons for changes in your posts, I've learned a lot reading your many rebuilds.
5050/7070/BA-2000/AU-717 all in different stages of repair/upgrade and every minute enjoyable with AK as my guide.

Finally getting around to this work, but hit an odd snag.
I'm having trouble that actually carries over from my work on the amplifier board. I am unable to find 220uf/50v caps that are small enough to practivally fit here. I have twice ordered the same Nichicon caps from digikey- that i only realized when they arrived are far too large at around 16mm. 6mm would be just right.

Hey there - I noticed here that you recommend replacing C1 & C2 with 1uf/50v. Wanted to make sure this is correct in my case having 3.3uf/35v tantalums in both of these positions. Just wanted to clarify - thank you!

Yes, that is correct; the 1uF film capacitors afford a low enough high-pass filter F3 ( ~3 Hz) for the phono stage.
