Thanks all for responding about sansui 661, but another question i'm asking myself is . I have an au 9500 and i love it but i use most of the time my headphone and it's a very high quality set and when i compare my au 9500 with the 661 i'm having a very hard time to find wich one is best. Of course the au 9500 with good speeker's is probably better then the 661 an has much more features but again with the headphone it's not that obvious, and i am wondering if a 771 or 881 would be even better .Again i don't know much about specs but the xx1 series seems to be very good, and in the past i did listen to diferent ones like 6060 ,G5000 , now au 9500 but the 661 is amazing. Thanks in advance. Please forgive me if my english speeling might sounds bizzare (i'm french) and i'm not sure yet how to use this site corectely

Tall, the AU-9500 was one of Sansui's best solid state integrated amps made while Sansui's founder was still with the company.
From the Sansui website: The AU-9500 reproduces traditional tube like sounding image; very powerful especially in the lower frequencies. The AU-9500 was the top of the line model when Sansui’s founder and perfectionist, Mr. Kosaku Kikuchi, retired in 1974. His product philosophy was Let the products speak themselves., and the AU-9500 was his last jewel that satisfied his highest expectation.
At 85 solid watts per channel, it needs to be hooked up to good speakers. Then you'll hear why its considered a classic and believe me, it will outshine the sansui 661, performance-wise. Its nothing short of a classic integrated amp.

The 661 is amazing as is the entire Sanui xx1 line. I have listened to the 661, 881 and own the 771 and to my ears there is no diffreence in sound just power ratings and features. If you listen thru headphones than I would keep the 661. The 771, 881 will add nothing above what the 661 can offer sound wise.
They are all great vintage receivers.
