Hey fellas, just posting for posterity sake. The Sansui 7 has a slightly different layout than the others in the series.
So to keep the lights on without significant teardown all you need to do is find the wire in yours that carries the 5.6V ac from the switch up to the lights, and cut it, then run a new wire from the 5.6VAC input/output on the board in the photo and you are good to go.
