Sansui 7000: ABC speaker config?

I am thinking of buying from CList the above receiver replacing my ProjectOne unit. This is because I need ABC speaker outputs so I can add outdoor speakers but keep a nice vintage receiver. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ele/5643397570.html

Do the outputs run in series so they take away from each other? I don't anticipate using more than 2 sets of speakers at a time. Any other problems?

Thanks! So it sounds like I should have no sound quality loss since I'd be running only 2 at once? A local repair shop guy suggested they may run "in series".
 
Sansui is, as far as I have encountered, a series setup. Do not try to run two pair of 4 ohm speakers at the same time. I have never run into any system that let you run 3 pair of speakers at the same time.

The Yamaha M-40 will, but you have to run either 2 8s together with one 4, or two 4s with one 8. I don't remember which. There's a specific place for them when you are planning on driving all three sets. No issue if you are only driving two sets. I suspect the other M series Yamaha's work the same way. It is a very high current amplifier that sounded great. I sometimes wish I'd kept it!

This thread should probably be moved to general audio where it will get more exposure with the amp and receiver folks. In tuners, it doesn't get seen by the same audience.

my experience with the 7000 did not sound that good - bloated/tinney sound - could be due to older amp design or possibly in need of a recap
