Long time audio equipment enthusiast, newcomer to these forums. Please forgive me if this has been posted a bunch but, I tried some searches on the forums and didn't find what I was looking for (tried looking for underpowered amp, Sansui 771, low power amp, etc).
Looking forward to getting back into some better quality equipment than the cheapy sound bars I've had over the past 10 years and hopefully getting some warmth and character back into my audio experience with vinyl.
I just purchased a Sansui 771, Technics SL-Q200 and some Klipsch RM-160 bookshelf speakers. I know the Sansui 771 is capable of approx 40 watts of continuous power; the Klipsch are rated at 100 watts. Does anyone think I'll be torturing the amp if I run this combo? It hadn't bothered me at first but, the more I continue to read on amp and speaker combinations, the more I'm starting to worry.
What do you guys think? Good, bad? Thank you everyone for your help!
