Sansui 771 no lamps, no lights

Hi all

I need help with the following mistery case. Hold tight.

I bought my first vintage amp from a fellow in Valencia. It was a Sansui 771. It was his late father's amp. Could not test it before hand. It a was buy or die situation. I was assured last symphony it played was "perfecto". So it was a buy. The amp sounded good on phono and radio play. But only one lamp lighted up. It looked rather sad, dim, ordinary.
So yesterday I took the cover off and surprise...
the lamp of the VU meter comes on, flikers, goes off, comes back on...
there is one lamp not working next to that and then no more lamps, no lamp holders, no wires...
there is some light coming from somewhere around the 30 mark to illuminate the dial, but only partially.

Would anybody tell me what can I do now to restore the lamp situation?

PD: Couldn't find how to post images in forum... I hope this works and you can see mine.

Looks like most were removed in the past. Get schematic to see how/what's supposed to be there. Barring that, you could get by with a bulb in every other hole, perhaps using sockets with the appropriate bulb. Find out whether 6,8, or12 volt bulb supply, go from there. After going to the introductions forum & doing the deed, go to sansui forum for more info. Welcome to AK, much to learn, some to even be entertained by!:bigok:

Thanks, I will do. I got the schematics from internet. Meanwhile I hope a member will post an image with lamps and wires. I was unaware of the Sansui forum. I will repost.
I did my introduction first things first.

Welcome to AK.
Posting the same thread in more than one forum is a no-no.
So, you could ask a mod to move this thread to the Sansui forum OR start a different thread in the Sansui forum. For example. post your pictures and ask how to hook up bulbs for the holders that have no bulbs.
