Sansui 8080db question

question re. the protection light.
When the unit is turned on the protection light flashes about 5 seconds (red) then the relay kicks in and the red light stops flashing. Only it doesn't change from red to green
I see pictures of other 8080db's and the light stays green.
How do I get my light to stay green after the relay kicks in?

Do a search on this model concerning fused resistors.

With a Sansui 8080DB or 9090DB, the driver board is usually the culprit in these cases.

Usually replacing a few bad resistor on the driver board is all it takes!

There are already several threads posted discussing fixes for this problem.

Does the receiver operate normally other than the LED not turning green? if so you may have dirty contacts in the relay or a resistor problem on the protection board. In this case the the driver board is OK.

Yes everything works normally. No operating problems whatsoever
Sorry to rehash a topic that has been discussed so often.
I'll do a search and see if I can learn how to locate these areas of concern.
