Sansui 9010

After picking an an 881, I liked the sound so much (and so did my son) that he wanted one. I couldn't find one but found the 9010 which is the European version of the 881. The unit was already serviced: replacement of caps and transistors that needed to be replaced, thoroughly tested and brought up to specification. For some reason, this model doesn't seem as popular as the 881, even though it's exactly the same. I've noticed that some of the lower power models are being bid up very high on Ebay, especially the 8 and super 8. I have Klipsch speakers so power isn't much of an issue.

The 9010 is the black faced version of the 881. The are identical except for the faceplate. There is no evidence to support the "European" model reference. The black face models were available to all Sansui distributors. They just weren't popular here in the US.

I love my 9010, it's also hard to get in Europe.

I have a 771, well-pleased, but this takes the cake. It's a beautiful photo of a gorgeous amp. I have my 771 in reserve as I use the 8080DB daily, so I have that kind of sound quality to look forward to. Mine was redone at the same time as the big Sansui, so I should be set for awhile. And yes, My Fortes sound great with anything I power them with!

I have a 8010, the black faced version of the 771 that I use daily in the kitchen. It's paired with the small ADS L400. It's a wonderful sounding receiver.

I just got a 8010 :beerchug:
It needs a bit work.
The black color coating is a little sensitive to the edge, mmh.
