Sansui 9090DB replacement lights question.

Hi, board..im a new member, but ive been lurking for a while

Just recently someone gave me a Sansui 9090DB in emaculate condition..It was stored for almost 20 years and everything works/sounds good. The only problem is the green lights behind the radio frequency spectrum/dial is going out.

1) What kind of lights are they?
2) How much do they generally cost?
3) How difficult is it to replace them myself ?

I would like to do this myself if it doesnt require too much work to save $$$ on labor. Thanks for reading and i would appreciate any replies that would help.

Hey Ascension welcome to AK.

So are the lights completely out or do they flicker? If they flicker the solder connections may need to be reflowed. Apparently they come apart with age. That's what I was told when I asked the same question. I haven't fixed mine yet.

Do a search on AK and you'll find tons more info on the subject of bulbs. Replacing a bulb is inexpensive and relatively easy to do.
